Selling for an exceptional $5.55 million, the historic mansion at 293 Church Street, set a new residential record price for the suburb of Richmond.
The Expressions of Interest campaign run by Jellis Craig’s Elliot Gill, Andrew Macmillan and Alastair Craig, generated a high level of local, national and international buyer interest, also attracting a significant amount of media attention throughout the campaign.
“We had an incredible volume of buyer enquiry, over 200 groups inspected the property with interested tenders coming from residential, commercial and medical uses” said Gill.
This significant residence known as Lalor House sold on Thursday 24 March to a local residential buyer, with plans to restore the building, the buyer is already well advanced in engaging architects, having plans drawn up immediately after the sale.

The sites will be sold via an International Expressions of Interest campaign, closing Wednesday 16th March at 2pm.

This is the second subsequent win for the team, having previously secured a win for the Voss brothers on The Block Glasshouse.
The televised auction saw, 4/27 Darling Street, South Yarra go under the hammer with five qualified buyers. Supported by auctioneer Damien Cooley, Jellis Craig sold the apartment for $2.29 million against a reserve of $1.455 million.
