Preston Crossing Apartments by Hayball

Apartments for living well

Inspired by Preston’s rich architectural character, with its fine grain residential streets and large former industrial brick buildings, the apartments by Hayball are sustainable homes designed to protect our environment, reduce living costs and support a healthy lifestyle.

As the final stage of the Preston Crossing neighbourhood, Hayball has designed a range of one, two and three bedroom apartments to complement the living needs of today’s society. Well-considered and with a timeless aesthetic, these are homes to be proud of.

Hayball has created three different interior schemes for the apartments at Preston Crossing, all of which feature timeless and durable materials. With a focus on natural, earthy tones, the optional Ballast Light and Ballast Warm schemes feature engineered timber flooring, reconstituted stone in the kitchen and bathroom, extended bathroom vanities and black tapware. The standard specification, Subway, has an emphasis on white and light timber tones, and includes laminate kitchen benchtops, timber-look vinyl flooring, a tiled kitchen splashback and chrome tapware.

With two full-size barbeques and dining tables, the outdoor rooftop space is a perfect spot to hang out with friends and neighbours, or can be booked for events. Above it all, you are surrounded by landscaped planters with sweeping neighbourhood views and back over the CBD.

The communal lounge on the top floor includes a library and several booths – ideal for work-from-home days. This is also the perfect place to relax with friends and settle in to watch the big game or a movie. Next door, the private dining room can be booked by residents for private functions. It includes a full kitchen and servery window that opens out to a large terrace.

Hayball is a diverse practice that integrates architecture, interior design and urban design expertise. Beyond its design output, Hayball is a passionate contributor to the wider design debate, participating in industry and government advisory panels and actively engaging in academic research programs. Hayball believes that the best design results from exploration, research and the open exchange of ideas and different ways of thinking.
