For years Boroondara has been renowned for superb properties, easily accessible transportation, and a vast selection of prestigious schools. But Boroondara is so much more!

There is a plethora of options for all the foodies within the community, including ‘Meat Wine and Co’ in Hawthorn East, ‘Il Sogno’ in Surrey Hills and Charcoal on the Hill in Kew. These restaurants are rich in taste as they are in culture.

If you need a breakfast or lunch spot to get you through your days with a hint of caffeine, ‘The Baker’s Wife’ in Camberwell is a must go to, as is ‘Joe Frank’ in Ashburton, ‘Mr Fox’ in Glen Iris and we won’t leave out Mr Hendrick’s in Balwyn.

Our local gyms keep us in top shape all year long. A long-time favourite by many locals is Pilate’s studio ‘Love Athletica’ with studios in the neighbouring communities of Hawthorn and Malvern East, and within the Boroondara Sports Complex.

The Boroondara Sports Complex has several facilities catering to a range of needs for the community. These include gymnastics for ages from 9 months and older, as well as birthday party venues, indoor soccer and netball courts, swimming pools with the option of swimming lessons and aqua aerobics and the highly anticipated gym facility with personal training services available.

Having our hair coloured, cut and shaped is a luxury we have all had to learn to live without in the past few months. However, our hair salons are now ready to go and open for business. Second Avenue in Camberwell, Wardika Concept Hair Salon and Spa in Balwyn North, Vitality Beauty Bar in Glen Iris and Sensory Hair and Beauty in Ashburton, are just some of the extensive salons and wonderful hairdressing businesses within our community.

Local Business contributes to our community in more ways than one, without it, our Boroondara community wouldn’t be what it is today. For more information on how you can support local business within Boroondara or where to find community businesses, go to www.lovelocallife.com.au.
