About Tian
Born and raised in Melbourne, Tian brings a unique combination of extensive professional experience, strategic thinking and a genuine passion for building lasting client relationships to Jellis Craig Monash.
With an impressive academic background, including a PhD in Mathematical Optimisation, a Master's degree, a Mini MBA and qualifications in Project Management, Lean Six Sigma and Agile methodologies, Tian has developed a diverse career spanning academia, government, business and technology.
Having spent 12 years as a teaching specialist and researcher at the University of Melbourne and four years with the Department of Justice, Tian brings extensive experience in stakeholder engagement, complex problem-solving, strategic planning and business operations. Career highlights include publishing research in a leading international journal and being selected as one of four young researchers to represent Australia at the prestigious Heidelberg Laureate Forum, presenting research to Nobel Prize laureates.
Driven by empathy, honesty, integrity and professionalism, Tian believes successful real estate relationships are built on trust, genuine care and clear communication. With a strong analytical mindset and a people-first approach, Tian is committed to achieving exceptional outcomes while making the property journey as seamless and stress-free as possible.
Fluent in English and Mandarin, with additional Korean language skills, Tian enjoys connecting with people from diverse backgrounds.
Outside of work, Tian has a passion for music, having performed with several orchestras, including the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. A keen movie enthusiast and loyal Collingwood supporter, Tian also enjoys attending concerts and cooking whenever time allows.
