Hundreds of local netballers are enjoying 11 new courts at the Bayside Community Sports Centre, while the $12 million, four-court expansion at Tulip Street of Sandringham Basketball Stadium is a boon for local enthusiasts. Hampton's Boss James Reserve will receive a $3.4 million makeover, including a new pavilion, by late 2024, and two pavilions at R J Sillitoe Reserve are being demolished and replaced with a single environmentally sustainable building that reflects the changing needs of community sport.

Work has begun to revitalise the Beaumaris Art Group Studios to transform the pottery studio into a larger gallery space and create new mixed media and ceramics studios.

Meanwhile, construction is progressing on the massive $50 billion Suburban Rail Loop, which will connect residents to major job centres, healthcare facilities and universities in Melbourne's east and southeast.
