Work continues at pace on key transport projects that will transform accessibility across the Port Phillip region. The $11 billion-plus Metro Tunnel is on track to open by 2025, with the twin tunnel excavation now finished. Work is well underway on Anzac Station, and a $27 million new bike lane will be built along St Kilda Road.

Elwood foreshore is in line for a $50 million investment over the next decade to restore and upgrade buildings. Pampered pooches are also in for a treat, with the new $275,000 foreshore dog park at M.O. Moran Reserve now open.

Iconic St Kilda Pier is being rebuilt, with the $53 million project set to deliver recreational space, improved views of St Kilda and the city skyline, a better Little Penguin viewing area, and tiered seating by 2024.

Work on the Palais Theatre precinct upgrade in St Kilda is expected to be complete by the end of the year, revitalising the area to create a more pedestrian-friendly, attractive and usable space.
